A few years ago, when COVID19 shutdown the world, we were in the middle of a kitchen remodel. We had a fridge in our garage, no sink, no stove, a dining room that was serving as a pantry and five people + a dog to feed. Take out was no longer an option (at first). Yet, while others were waiting in line at grocery stores only to find bare shelves we were cooking full meals at home. Because we were prepared.
We had months of food supplies, the BBQ and camping stove were put to use and we washed dishes in a bucket over the rocks out front. Our kids had no clue that there were shortages and people were fighting over toilet paper, because we had a stock of it to last several weeks. The world was worrisome enough, but none of that affected our families survival. We want other families to be able to feel this peace when the next unexpected event occurs. That's why we've started this resource to offer tips on how we prepared ourselves and how you can too.
